Questions

  1. Tell me how you (the storyteller) first became involved with MCBM and what your current involvement is:

As we met for wfnsc, i heard presentations by the social worker(CCW) about VSL and became curious about the project. I went back to my place and thought of mobilising some individuals so that we manage to start our own serving. My male counterparts were resistant of the initiative that out 15 members in this group am the only male. Therefore, we started serving $2 per head after every fortnight but it was hard for some of us and the we thought of having a group owned garden that if the produce was ready we could supply for our home needs and sell the surplus for VSL. Up to now we are preparing for macadamia nursery to raise more funds. We also have finished to make our fish pond and we have already purchased the fish we are waiting for delivery.
